So you’ve probably just finished your exams a couple weeks ago, got back from your awesome tropical vacation (while avoiding swine flu, no doubt), and are back home, ready to start your summer job, hit up the beach, and laze around on the weekends.
Not me.
One of the amazing special features of an Electrical Engineering degree is that you get to sacrifice your summer for the low price of $4000! Why bother getting a summer job, when you can pay to have an extravagant abundance of homework assignments, a plethora of midterms and quizzes, and daily labs that force the rapid loss of sanity. That’s right. I’m back in school. Started on Monday, I began my weekly schedule of 6 classes with 6 labs. Wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t have to build a robot on top of that.
I’m sitting in class right now, learning about how to assign an 8bit CPU with 64kbyte memory space using 4 32kb memory chips. Ohhh Microprocessors.
Oh by the way, if anyone has a copy of Introduction to Analog Systems and Communications lying around in their room that they wanna sell, let me know.
If you can’t tell, I get distracted easily in class – every Friday, I choose one undeserving individual to draw. Usually a prof, or TA, I’ll be scanning and uploading them online. Since we’ve got a new batch of profs this semester, they’ll be new and improved.
So we’re finishing up this class, then have an hour break (stupid, in my opinion), then back for some Analog Communications! My enthusiasm must be convincing.
