Ban Comic Sans!Came across a site today that most thoroughly represents the misconception of proper font use in the world today. I’m keeping this post short and sweet, but definitely check out this site!
So for those of you who plan on using this ugly horrific font in your future projects, essays, or whatever… don’t.
Happy Earth Day from Bamboo!
For those of you who don’t know (and haven’t used Google yet today), April 22nd is earth day. Like any other day set aside for a noble cause, we are encouraged to take a series of actions to support the ideology it represents. Whether it be, taking the bus to work, using less water in the shower, or turning off your lights, we are given the self-satisfaction of successfully making a miniscule and insignificant difference in the world’s environment. Sorry to say it, but I feel we’ve lost perspective on the whole situation. I understand that the purpose of Earth Day is to instill good habits in societies every day living mechanisms; however, I feel like the day has become a “feel good” enterprise that allows the public to ignorantly place an absentminded bandaid over the rapidly growing gash we’ve dealt to the ever-deteriorating world. 5 Tips on Choosing the Right Font Two sites any Graphic Designer MUST be familiar with
If you’re anything of a graphic designer, web designer, or digital artist, these are two sites that you absolutely MUST have in your arsenal. Not only do these sites provide you with unbelievably unique and fresh tutorials, they also offer an extravagant abundance of vector based resources for your personal use.
Interesting Web Site…So I was surfing the web the other day, and came across a unique site. OMEGLE. It’s kind of like a chat site where you go to the site, and start a convorsation with a complete stranger. The convorsations you can have are quite ridiculous, and I encourage you to take a look. In fact, how bout this:
Anyone who goes on the site, save a log of your convorsation, and post it in the comments below. I’m sure someone can come up with something crazyyy! (Keep them PG haha)
Bamboo 2.0 Website Launched!
A big round of applause to our design team for finalizing the new Bamboo Designs Website! While some elements need to be fine tuned, and other pieces need to be adjusted, we felt it was a good time to launch Bamboo 2.0. Now we’re set for diving into some publicity and marketing, now that we have a suitable website to draw people to. Huge thanks to designer Lance Taylor for designing the site from the ground up.

Great Tutorial SiteSo I figured I’d post a great link for all the other Bamboo Designers (and blog followers) that gives some useful CSS tips for web design. I’m going to be adding a few more posts like this so keep your eyes peeled for regular updates!
This site has some GREAT examples of CSS techniques that will spice up your websites. This site also has a bunch of other neat tutorials an articles, so if you’re considering diving into more graphic design, definitely check out this site and get familiar with it!
